Secondo <a href=\"https:\/\/www.purestorage.com\/content\/dam\/pdf\/it-it\/white-papers\/protected\/wp-esg-modernizing-data-protection-it-it.pdf\">Enterprise Strategy Group<\/a>, circa <strong>il 75% dei professionisti IT \u00e8 erroneamente convinto che le applicazioni basate su container possano essere sottoposte a backup allo stesso modo delle applicazioni fisiche o virtualizzate<\/strong>. La conseguenza \u00e8 che le aziende rischiano downtime imprevisti e potenziali perdite di dati all\u2019insorgere di comuni guasti operativi.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Una delle principali differenze tra le architetture virtualizzate classiche e la virtualizzazione basata su Container risiede nel fatto che <strong>la gestione del dato persistente e la sua protezione<\/strong> <strong>avvengono su layer diversi<\/strong>: mentre le Virtual Machine si appoggiano sull\u2019hypervisor per tutte le operazioni di gestione del dato, i Container si occupano direttamente della gestione dello stesso, decidendo perfino il numero di copie e dove esse debbano essere dislocate.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Con Kubernetes in particolare passiamo quindi dalle operazioni basate sulle macchine virtuali alle <strong>operazioni incentrate sulle applicazioni<\/strong>. Per acquisire un backup consistente, l&#8217;applicazione del database deve essere sospesa prima del backup. Questa operazione viene facilmente gestita utilizzando le regole in PX-Backup.
