Introducing Evergreen//One Overdrive: elastic, on-demand performance that scales with your workloads. Starting in August 2026, Evergreen//One Overdrive will be included by default with all new Evergreen//One licenses.

What Evergreen//One Overdrive delivers

Evergreen//One Overdrive lets you utilize more performance than is included in your subscription (up to the capabilities of the deployed Everpure infrastructure), and you pay only for the days you actually use it. It works like on-demand reserve billing in the cloud. When your workloads stay within your SLA, nothing changes. When they spike, Evergreen//One Overdrive steps in automatically so performance is never the bottleneck.

There’s no renegotiation. No emergency procurement. No waiting. The capacity is already deployed and ready. Every Evergreen//One subscription includes a built-in performance buffer above your SLA at no additional cost. This covers the routine variability that comes with normal enterprise workloads. When demand pushes beyond that buffer, Evergreen//One Overdrive activates for that calendar day and you’re charged once for the full 24-hour window. The next day, you return to your baseline automatically.

You stay in control at all times. Overdrive can be enabled or disabled through Pure1®, giving you clear operational boundaries when you need them.

When Evergreen//One Overdrive makes the most sense

Not every performance spike signals a permanent need. Overdrive is purpose-built for situations where the demand is real but temporary. For example:

• Fiscal close and quarter-end processing push financial systems well beyond normal throughput levels for a few days each cycle. Evergreen//One Overdrive absorbs that window without requiring a tier upgrade that would sit underutilized the rest of the year.
• Backup and recovery operations are among the most throughput-intensive workloads in any environment. When a restore window opens, it needs to close fast. Evergreen//One Overdrive ensures full infrastructure performance is available precisely when recovery speed matters most.
• Seasonal demand patterns in retail, healthcare, and financial services create peaks that are predictable but limited in duration. Evergreen//One Overdrive handles them without locking in a higher subscription tier year-round.
• AI training runs and large data pipeline jobs do not follow flat consumption curves. They burst hard, then drop back to steady state. Your Customer Success Manager (CSM) and Pure1 will surface that conversation proactively, so the right decision is always in front of you before it becomes a problem.

Pure1 monitors your performance usage in real time. It tracks how your workloads compare to your subscribed SLA, identifies patterns across your fleet, and surfaces proactive recommendations based on what it sees. If Evergreen//One Overdrive usage trends suggest a permanent tier upgrade would deliver better long-term economics, Pure1 surfaces that insight and your CSM follows up.

Evergreen//One Overdrive will be included automatically on all new Evergreen//One licenses, expansions, amendments, and renewals starting in August 2026, at no activation cost. Existing customers can add Evergreen//One Overdrive to their contracts at any time.
