Scale Bigger, Run Faster: Introducing Everpure Cloud Dedicated V50 for AWS

Explore how the new Everpure Cloud Dedicated V50 for AWS helps enterprises run larger workloads with more performance, capacity, and simplicity on one array.

Summary

Everpure Cloud Dedicated V50 for AWS provides higher-scale storage for demanding enterprise workloads, with more performance and capacity on a single array.

Enterprise workloads in the cloud are evolving rapidly. AI pipeline, large-scale databases, analytics platforms, and business-critical applications are generating greater performance demands. At the same time, organizations are trying to simplify operations, improve resilience, and control operational complexity.

That shift is creating a growing need for cloud storage platforms that can scale performance and capacity without forcing teams to redesign architectures or compromise on enterprise-grade data services. Many organizations are looking for the same reliability, consistency, and operational simplicity they expect on premises while continuing to scale in AWS.

That is exactly the gap the new Everpure™ Cloud Dedicated V50 for AWS is built to address. With version 6.10.6, Everpure Cloud Dedicated introduces a new AWS V50 model for organizations that need more single-array throughput, more headroom, and more raw capacity than the existing V20 can provide.

Built for bigger performance and larger data sets

Organizations running larger-scale databases, EPIC workloads, Amazon Elastic VMware Service environments, high-throughput application stacks, and other demanding workloads need infrastructure that can scale predictably without adding unnecessary operational overhead.

As enterprises look to simplify operations and support growth, many are consolidating larger, performance-intensive workloads onto fewer environments. Everpure Cloud Dedicated AWS V50 is built to support that shift, delivering additional bandwidth and capacity headroom beyond what V20 comfortably supports.

To support these larger workloads, the AWS V50 model uses m6in.32xlarge instances as storage controllers together with i3en.6xlarge virtual drive instances, delivering significantly more backend bandwidth and IOPS compared to previous Everpure Cloud Dedicated AWS SKUs. In internal testing, Everpure measured around 7GB/s of front-end throughput on a 70/30 mixed read/write workload with 128KB block size and 5:1 data reduction.

More room to consolidate on a single array

With this announcement, organizations can scale capacity more efficiently without increasing infrastructure sprawl or operational complexity. AWS V50 raises the maximum raw capacity target to up to 200TB raw, or approximately 2X the maximum capacity point of V20 when configured with two shelves of i3en.6xlarge virtual drives. For customers, this provides a simpler way to consolidate larger data sets and more demanding applications onto a single array while maintaining the familiar operational model and data services of Everpure Cloud Dedicated.

The AWS V50 supports the same core Purity feature set available on Everpure Cloud Dedicated AWS V20, including snapshots, data reduction, replication, SafeMode, and array-level HA.

What’s new and why does it matter?

There is one important connectivity note for day-one deployments: V50 host connectivity uses iSCSI in version 6.10.6, while NVMe-oF/TCP support is planned for a later release.

At launch, Everpure Cloud Dedicated AWS V50 is supported in the following AWS regions:

  • US East (N. Virginia)
  • US East (Ohio)
  • US West (N. California)
  • US West (Oregon)
  • Europe (Ireland)
  • Europe (Frankfurt)
  • Europe (Stockholm)
  • Asia Pacific (Singapore)
  • Asia Pacific (Tokyo)
  • Asia Pacific (Sydney)
  • AWS GovCloud (US-West)

Availability does come with a practical AWS consideration: instance capacity is per availability zone (AZ). AWS does not guarantee m6in.32xlarge capacity in every AZ. As a result, some deployments may require selecting an alternate AZ if the requested controller instance type is unavailable.

A new top end for Everpure Cloud Dedicated on AWS

The real significance of the AWS V50 is not simply its larger scale. It extends Everpure Cloud Dedicated on AWS into a higher-performance tier for customers who still want the same enterprise data services, the same architecture principles, and the same familiar operating model in AWS, while scaling up single-array throughput and capacity.

For organizations evaluating the new SKU, the next step is to review the Everpure Cloud Dedicated for AWS documentation and confirm region and availability zone support, workload fit, and connectivity requirements before deployment.
